Mr. Fitzgerald is the firm’s founder and Chief Executive Officer. He has more than 30 years of experience in international and US real estate and finance, including the acquisition, financing, development and management of Latin American real estate projects.
Previously and among other things, he founded and was the Chief Executive Officer of Jamestown Latin America, an international investor in Latin American real estate, and prior to that was the Managing Director of Emerging Markets for Paladin Realty Partners, an international and US fund manager and investor. He has served and serves on the boards of directors of numerous private companies in the US and internationally.
Mr. Fitzgerald is a lifetime sports enthusiast, having competed in martial arts, boxing, triathlons, open water swimming and motorcycle racing. He completed eight years of decorated service in the U.S. Navy. He holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and Finance degree from Southern Methodist University, where he was valedictorian and graduated summa cum laude.
Mr. Lenard is the firm’s Senior Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. He has more than 35 years of international and US real estate, finance, corporate and legal experience, including the acquisition, financing, development and management of Latin American real estate projects and companies.
Previously, Mr. Lenard was a Senior Managing Director of William E. Simon & Sons/Paladin Realty Partners, an international and US fund manager and investor. He also served as its and other companies Chief Compliance Officer. He has served on the boards of directors of numerous public and private companies in the US and internationally. Prior to that he was a Partner in the international law firm of Latham & Watkins.
Formerly an Olympic athlete, he has held and holds numerous senior positions in Olympic and international sport, including formerly the US Olympic Committee and currently the Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport, where he serves as its Vice President and is President of its Ad hoc Divisions at Olympic Games and other major international sport events.
Mr. Lenard holds a Juris Doctor degree from University of Southern California Law School, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif scholastic honor society and was a member of the Law Review, and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree (in both Finance and Accounting) from the University of Wisconsin, from which he was graduated with Distinction and where he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma and other scholastic honor societies.
Mr. Diaz, a Managing Director and the Country Manager of Mexico, leads the Mexico City office and is responsible for the firm’s activities in Mexico. He has 20 years of experience in the acquisition, development and management of Mexican real estate projects.
Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head of Mexico for Acciona Parque Reforma, a Spanish publicly traded investor in real estate, infrastructure and renewable energy. Prior to that he was, among other things, a Director of Prudential Real Estate Investors, an international fund manager and investor.
He is an avid runner, competing in triathlons, including the Ironman, and marathons. Mr. Diaz holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree and a Master‘s of Science in Finance degree from Boston College’s Carroll Graduate School of Management and a Diploma in Companies Financial Analysis and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana.
Mr. Finzi, a Managing Director and the Country Manager of Brazil, leads the Sao Paulo office and is responsible for the firm’s activities in Brazil. He has more than 20 years of experience in the acquisition, development and management of Brazilian real estate projects.
Previously and among other things, Mr. Finzi was a Managing Director at Hines Brazil, a real estate developer and investor, and prior to that a management consultant at Accenture.
He is an avid tennis player and fanatic Palmeirassupporter. Mr. Finzi holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas. He also holds a LEED AP professional certificate from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Mr. Young, a Managing Director and the Country Manager for the Andean and Caribbean Regions, is responsible for the firm’s activities in those Regions. He has more than 25 years of experience in the acquisition, development and management of Latin American real estate projects and in real estate-related financial products.
Previously, he was a founding Partner of Tierra Capital Partners, an investment and advisory firm for Latin America real estate, which launched the first publicly traded LATAM Real Estate ETF listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to that he was, among other things, a Vice President at AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp., an international fund manager and investor in Mexico City and Buenos Aires, and Vice President at Heller Financial, an international real estate lending institution, in Mexico City.
Mr. Young played lacrosse in college and later coached collegiately at San Diego State University. He holds a Master’s of International Business Administration degree from USIU in Mexico City and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Delaware.
Mr. Simoes, a Vice President in the Sao Paulo office, is responsible for financial analysis, sourcing, underwriting and asset management of commercial real estate projects. He has over 9 years of experience in Latin American real estate.
Previously, Mr. Simoes worked at WeWork in Latin America, where he focused on new businesses development for Brazil, Argentina, and Chile and co-led the real estate special situations division responsible for acquisitions of commercial buildings, WeLive, and other company initiatives. Prior to that he worked at Hines Brazil where he participated in the asset management of a large logistics, retail, and office portfolio, as well as residential joint ventures.
Mr. Simoes holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from FGV-EAESP.
Ms. Lajut, a Vice President in the Sao Paulo office, is responsible for financial analysis, sourcing, underwriting and asset management of residential projects. She has over 9 years of experience in Brazilian real estate.
Previously, Ms. Lajut worked at Hines Brazil where she managed a large portfolio of residential development joint ventures and focused on business development. Prior to that she worked at Tecnisa Brazil where she was involved in the development and management of numerous residential projects.
Ms. Lajut holds a Master’s degree in Construction Innovation with emphasis in Real Estate from University of Sao Paulo, undertook postgraduate studies in Financial Management at Insper and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Sao Paulo.
Mr. Ramón, a Vice President in the Mexico City office, is responsible for financial analysis, sourcing, underwriting and asset management. He has over 8 years of experience in Mexican real estate.
Previously, Mr. Ramón worked as a Senior Analyst at MetLife Investment Management Mexico where he participated in the underwriting of commercial mortgage loans and originating and closing senior debt. Prior to that he worked at Fibra UNO (Mexico’s largest REIT) where he managed a portfolio of retail and office properties and Prudential Global Investment Management where he structured, analyzed and managed senior secured debt.
Mr. Ramón holds a Diploma in Investment Analysis and a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from ITAM.
